The Quad City Bass Fisherman's Club, based in Davenport, Iowa along the banks of the Mississippi River, was formed in 1963 making it one of the oldest known bass fishing clubs in the country. The club currently boasts a membership of over 200 men and women. We annually have 7 club closed tournaments, 1 open tournament, and 2 his/her outings. The club motto "Leave Some For Seed" represents the emphasis placed on catch and release at every club tournament. Monthly meetings are held on the last Monday of the month and the public is invited to attend.
The Quad City Bass club is moving to email for the monthly newsletter. Please email the club or text Ron 563-340-3204 your email address. Or when you sign up for 2024, put your email on the sign up form. Sometime 1st quarter 2024 we will stop sending out the newsletter in the mail.

Robert J. Trauffer was one of the original members, and lived the last 20 years in Lansing, Iowa. He passed Christmas Eve 2023,. The family will be having an celebration of life for him at the Credit Island Lodge on April 20th, noon to 4. It would be wonderful if some members could come by with there boats on the river.
River Action is looking for someone who could be a Guide to two people who want to go bass fishing on the Mississippi River?
Their annual fundraiser is May 2, 2024, at the Bettendorf Waterfront Event Center. They are holding both a silent auction and live auction to celebrate our 40th anniversary. Anybody interested please contact Ron Rieck 563-340-3204.

Sign up will be at the ramp from 5:00-5:30. The meeting and take-off will follow asap. The weigh in is 3:00P.M. Info Remember that your dues need to be paid at the March meeting to be able to fish the tournament.

1.) Classic qualifying for tournaments remain the same. One partner must have 3 fished. The other partner must have at least 2. If you only have two the extra amount is changed from $20 to $50.
2.) Culling balls with safety pin type clips are no longer allowed. If you bring a fish to the scale with the puncture type pin you will be given a warning. The second time will result in a 1 pound penalty.
Per club rules, in order to fish a tournament, you must be a paid-up member at the time of the monthly meeting prior to the tournament that you wish to fish. Annual membership is only a mere $25 and can be purchased at any monthly membership meeting.
The Quad City Bass Club with a membership of over 200 individuals has sponsorship opportunities available for any business or individual looking to expand their advertising at a relatively cheap rate. For the mere sum of $50 yearly, your business card sized ad will be placed on our monthly newsletter which is sent to each and every member and sponsor. For $125 annually your ad will be placed in the monthly newsletter AND a fishing rod will be given away in your name to a lucky contestant at a club sponsored tournament.
